Tigers against the Bruins in 2010
Pacific’s home opener against UCLA will be the third time this season the Tigers have faced off against UCLA. The first meeting between the two at the NorCal Tournament on Saturday, September 18, resulted in a 10-7 loss for the Tigers. Two weeks later In the next meeting between the two MPSF opponents on October 2, Pacific trailed UCLA 2-1 entering the second quarter when senior Austin Delong (Houston, Texas) tied the game at two goals apiece at the 7:21 mark. The Tigers then took the 3-2 lead on a goal from senior Joey Gullikson (Sonoma, Calif.) with 6:32 remaining in the half. The Bruins countered with two consecutive goals at the 6:05 and 5:03 marks to regain the one point advantage, but junior Daniel Lungu (Netanya, Israel) countered with a goal at the 4:33 point to tie the game at 4-4. However the Tigers could not regain the lead and ultimately fell to UCLA, 13-11.
