For those readers especially interested in teaching mathematics (you know, the “M” in STEM), EdWeek has a new collection of articles called “Spotlight on Math Instruction.”
The package can be downloaded in PDF form for the price of $4.95. EdWeek has offered these packages of stories on a variety of topics in the past, such as middle and high school literacy and gifted education.
Topics in the new package include introducing algebra concepts in the early grades, addressing the stereotype of girls’ mathematical inferiority, and understanding how “response to intervention” can refocus math instruction.
