MEMPHIS, Tenn. – VIDEO | Friday the full Tennessee Senate will vote on a measure that could potentially stop a merger between Memphis City and Shelby County Schools.
The Innovative School District bill would allow districts to freeze their boundaries. That was the fear when Memphis City Schools surrendered its charter back in December. That charter surrender set off a lengthy legal battle that still isn’t settled.
Memphis City School Board member Martavius Jones, the man who started the surrender process in Memphis, joins FOX13 with more on this latest development in Nashville.
