St. Joseph College’s new School of Pharmacy in downtown Hartford is getting a bevy of distinguished visitors.
Ernestina Naadu Mills, the first lady of Ghana, is scheduled to visit the school Thursday with several members of her country’s press corps and other guests.
She’ll receive a tour from Dr. Joseph Ofosu, the school’s founding dean and a fellow native of Ghana.
The visit is sponsored by St. Joseph College and the World Affairs Council of Connecticut, which says Thursday’s tour is Naadu Mills’ only scheduled stop in the U.S. She will be accompanied by Ghana’s ambassador to the U.S. and representatives of the Ghana Embassy.
St. Joseph College spent $4.4 million to transform 35,000 square feet of Hartford office space into the pharmacy school, whose first students start this fall.
